Dr. Minoo Kavarana

Dr. Minoo Kavarana is a dedicated pediatric and congenital heart surgeon known for his compassionate approach and commitment to advancing care for patients of all ages. With specialized expertise in neonatal and infant heart surgery, adult congenital heart disease, and heart and lung transplantation, he brings both technical excellence and deep clinical experience to his work.

His training spans leading institutions across the country, including advanced fellowships in heart transplantation, cardiothoracic surgery, and congenital heart surgery. Since joining the Medical University of South Carolina in 2010, Dr. Kavarana has been part of a team delivering outcomes on par with the top programs worldwide.

In addition to his clinical work, he is actively involved in research and education, contributing to advancements in pediatric cardiac care and mentoring the next generation of surgeons.
